Thoughts Can Change Genes

  Thoughts Can Change Genes
Bruce Lipton
Bruce Lipton is a renowned cellular biologist who offers scientific proof that what people think affects their health.

Perceptions and beliefs can even help rewrite one’s genetic code.

Dr. Lipton’s independent research has shown that individuals have enormous potential to control their own health.

In contradiction to the commonly held theory that our lives are controlled by our genes, Lipton’s studies reveal that our attitudes affect us at a very deep level.

“You have to be very careful of your thoughts and vision,” Lipton said. “If you wake up in the morning and say, ‘I’m afraid. I don’t think my life is working out very well,’ the first thing your cells do is start packing their bags and thinking, ‘We may not be long for this place!’

Then they get into a protective posture, leading to physical or emotional stress and ultimately, if allowed to continue, resulting in physical illness.”

Dr. Lipton will be speaking in Burnaby Thursday, November 14, 2002 at the Firefighter’s Social Hall, 6550 Bonsor Ave. at 7:30 pm, presented by the Health Action Network Society. For tickets or more information call 604-435-0512.
